Hi Gordon,
I saw Atlas of Space on Hacker News.
I’m also a space nerd (this is the exact same term I use to describe myself).
The weird thing is that I had the exact same idea this week.
The motivation was also the same: I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the solar system and all its mechanics.
This week I looked up Kepler’s laws, books on orbital mechanics, and even learned a new word: ephemeris 🙂
Even though similar things like NASA’s Eyes already exist, I still wanted to do this as an interesting exercise in math, programming, and astronomy.
So, I was incredibly surprised to see Atlas of Space on Hacker News.
Atlas of Space is amazing; I really love it!
I’ll keep an eye on it!
I looked at the repo and apparently you made this in a month, which is astounding! :-O
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Kind regards,
Laurens

Hi Laurens — thank you for your awesome comment! Funny how things show up just when you start thinking about them.
Let me know if there’s anything that you were planning to add to yours that I could add to the Atlas of Space!
